As a Securities Market Regulator, SEBI is member of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (I0SCO). Every year, world over, World Investor Week is celebrated, under the aegis of I0SCO, in order to give further impetus to the various investor education and awareness initiatives. SEBI has been participating in  celebrations along with the exchanges, depositories, investor associations, commodity derivative trainers, resource persons, etc - since 2017. This year, World Investor Week will be celebrated during October 09-15 2023.   BSE IPF has also planned many activities during the said celebrations such as Investor Awareness Webinars/Seminars, nationwide quiz competitions, informative videos, street plays, etc.

Bell Ringing Ceremony - BSE IPF will be conducting a Bell ringing ceremony on 1st day of week, at BSE premises, Mumbai , in the presence of senior dignataries from SEBI.

Nukkad Natak on Financial Literacy - Nukkad Natak aims at shaping investors in India to become more aware, responsible and thinking adults and have an opinion on issues of financial literacy. BSE IPF will provide a list of topics on which participants (in groups) can perform a skit in front of an audience to make them aware about investments in the capital market. In this way they will also spread awareness to their audience regarding financial education. Participation certificates will be given to all groups and the top 3 winning groups will be rewarded with some prizes. Details : Teams from general public and college students across will participate from any location. The Nukkad Nataks will be performed during 7 days of WIW based on the 10 investor awareness topics assigned by SEBI to us. BSE IPF will announce 5 top winners of the competition and cash prizes and participants certificates will be awarded to them.

Organizing Human Chain - BSE IPF proposed to organize a Human Chain event on the occasion of World Investor Week 2023 in Mumbai. This will emphasize the strength and unity of investors in creating a vibrant financial ecosystem. The Human Chain will symbolize our collective commitment to promoting investor resilience and sustainable finance. This event will be conducted at a college premises where students in large numbers will participate and anticipate that this will attract significant attention. Details : The event will be held at Shishuvan School, Matunga, Mumbai wherein students of 11th and 12th Std will be participating on any single day of WIW.

Street Plays - BSE IPF will arrange to conduct street plays at various busy locations at Mumbai to propagate the message of Investor Resilience and Sustainable Finance during the WIW 2023. Details : BSE IPF propose to conduct atleast 15 street plays during WIW. Locations of street plays will be Malad, Dahisar, Vasai, Nalasopara, Govandi, Kurla, Bhandup, Nahur, Thane Kalyan, Bhivandi, Badlapur. Total 5 to 6 Artists will perform each street plays and all Artists will wear T-Shirt and Cap displaying BSE-IPF WIW Logo.

Conduct of Katputali Dance and folk dance - BSE IPF propose to spread the knowledge about financial planning and investments in securities market through these activities These activities will be primarily conducted at Tier II and Tier III cities across India with major focus at Rajasthan. Details : BSE IPF propose to conduct 10 such shows having a duration of approx.. 60-90 minutes. These events will be done at Ajmer, Nagour, Beawar district (Tier III cities / towns primarily)




Nivesh Champion - Videos of prominent investors/brokers sharing their experiences of how they overcame a negative situation and their learning from it – focussed on capital market . People are invited to share their ‘Nivesh Champion’ story on social media handles of BSE. Winners will be given exicting prizes and annuonced on this WIW microsite. Decision about winners by BSE will be final and binding.

The idea is to encourage people to share a pic, story or reel along with the person whom they have helped gain information and knowledge about investing. Winners will get exiting prizes, BSE's decision about the same will be final and binding .This initiative will create a positive cycle of learning and growth.

In this initiative, investors will be invited through Social Media handles of BSE to share the tips which are to be followed by wise investors while investing in market. Tips in the form of 60/90 sec graphics/text videos based on topics that bring out the idea of investor resiliencesecs

BAZAAR KI DHUN​ -  An engaging activity! ​While everyone is dishing out investor education, we thought of doing it in a different way that engages with the audience. ​We want to encourage investors to pen down their thoughts on hypothetical market conditions in form of a Bollywood song and share on the social media handle of BSE. ​It’s a fun activity and will elicit many responses. The best ones will be awarded exciting prizes. Decision about winners by BSE will be final and binding.
