Global Money Week" (GMW) is an annual financial education awareness-raising campaign named designed to encourage wide range of stakeholders to motivate young people to learn about money matters, livelihoods and entrepreneurship.
This campaign is coordinated globally by "Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development"(OECD) and SEBI is the national coordinator in India. Several activities are planned during GMW by SEBI in collaboration with RBI, IRDAI, PFRDAI and National Centre for Financial Education. During the entire week of GMW, SEBI would be arranging several webinars for young people.
The campaign has started from March 22, 2021 and ends on March 28, 2021.
The basic objective of Global Money Week (GMW) is raising importance of ensuring that young people from an early age are financially aware and are gradually acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitude and behaviours necessary to make sound financial decisions and ultimately achieve financial well-being.
